Website Terms and Conditions
1. Noddle is a legitimate Australian business
These terms are an agreement between you and Noddle Pty Ltd, ABN 63 643 806 759, ACN 643 806 759, trading as noddle (“Noddle”, “we”, “us”). Noddle holds Australian Credit Licence number 526746, issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), and is a member of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (member 362825) and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (member 81857).
You can check our licence for yourself on ASIC’s professional registers at asic.gov.au. If something doesn’t feel right, call our Brisbane-based team on 1300 168 250.
By using this website or our services, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, do not use the website.
Noddle is a finance broker. We find, compare and arrange personal loans and car loans from a panel of lenders. Noddle is not the lender. Credit is provided by the lender named in your loan contract, and every decision to approve or decline an application is made by that lender.
In plain words
We’re real, licensed and based in Brisbane. Check our licence on ASIC’s register, or call 1300 168 250 and talk to a person. Using the site means you accept these terms.
2. Fees and costs
We may charge a fee for our credit assistance. If we do, we will give you a quote showing the maximum amount in dollars, and we will not start work until you have accepted it.
Lenders on our panel pay us a commission when a loan we arrange settles. The amount varies by lender and loan size. When we provide credit assistance, your credit proposal disclosure document shows, in dollars, the fees payable by you and the commissions payable to us for that loan, before you sign. You may also ask us at any time for a reasonable estimate of any commission and how it is worked out. Commissions are paid by the lender and are not added to your loan.
The costs of the loan itself (interest, fees and charges) are set by the lender and set out in your loan contract. The repayments and total amount repayable are shown to you in dollars before you accept any loan.
In plain words
If we charge you a fee, you see and accept it before we start. Lenders pay us a commission, and you see the exact dollar figure before you sign anything.
3. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- be an Australian citizen or resident, or otherwise eligible to obtain credit in Australia;
- have the legal capacity to enter into a contract; and
- apply for yourself, using your own true details, never someone else’s.
Each lender on our panel also has its own eligibility criteria. Meeting the requirements above does not mean any lender will approve you.
In plain words
You need to be 18 or over, live in Australia, and use your own true details.
4. AI-assisted loan matching
We use technology, including artificial intelligence, to match your situation against the lending criteria of our panel. It helps us compare more lenders, faster, and with fewer errors than doing it by hand.
Three things the technology does not change:
- The responsible lending obligations in section 5 apply in full, however a match is produced.
- The technology shortlists and compares. It does not approve or decline credit. Lenders do that, and our people oversee the credit assistance we give you.
- A match is not an offer of credit or a guarantee of approval.
You can ask us to explain why we matched you with a loan, and you can speak with a person at any point on 1300 168 250.
In plain words
Software helps us compare faster. People check the work, the same lending rules apply, and the lender makes the final call. You can always talk to a human.
5. The loan application process
Under Chapter 3 of the NCCP Act, we must not suggest, or assist you to apply for, a credit contract that is unsuitable for you. Before we provide credit assistance we will:
- make reasonable inquiries about your requirements and objectives: what the loan is for, how much, and for how long;
- make reasonable inquiries about your financial situation: your income, expenses, debts and repayment history; and
- take reasonable steps to verify that information, for example through payslips, bank statements, or secure bank data feeds you consent to.
A loan is unsuitable if, at the time of our assessment, it is likely that you could not meet the repayments, could only meet them with substantial hardship, or the loan would not meet your requirements and objectives. If our assessment finds a loan unsuitable, we will not arrange it. We will tell you why, and what would change the answer.
If we suggest a loan and you go ahead, we help you apply to the lender. The lender makes its own assessment and its own decision. Your loan contract is with the lender, on the lender’s terms.
You can ask us for a free written copy of our preliminary assessment at any time within 7 years of the credit assistance. We will provide it within 7 business days if you ask within the first 2 years, and within 21 business days after that.
Our assessment is only as good as what you tell us. You must give us information that is true and complete, and tell us if your situation changes before your loan settles.
In plain words
We ask about your income, spending and debts, and we check the documents. If the repayments would put you in real trouble, we won’t arrange the loan. You can ask for a free copy of our assessment for 7 years.
6. Third-party lenders and offers
Loan offers are issued by lenders, not by Noddle. It is subject to the lender’s assessment, approval and terms, and your loan contract is with that lender. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for a lender’s products, decisions, or conduct.
Interest rates shown on this website are indicative. They are set by lenders, can change without notice, and the rate you are offered depends on your circumstances and the lender’s assessment. Comparison rates are calculated on the example loan amount and term stated next to them.
Statutory warning
WARNING: This comparison rate is true only for the examples given and may not include all fees and charges. Different terms, fees or other loan amounts might result in a different comparison rate.
Repayment figures shown on this website are estimates and examples only. They are not a quote or an offer of credit. This website also links to lender and third-party websites. Those links are for convenience and are not an endorsement.
In plain words
The offer comes from the lender, on the lender’s terms. Rates and repayment figures on our site are a guide, not a promise.
7. Use of the service
Our service is credit assistance under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) (“NCCP Act”). Through this website we:
- ask about your situation and what you need the loan for;
- compare loans across our lender panel;
- suggest a loan we assess as not unsuitable for you; and
- help you apply to the lender.
We do not lend money, approve applications, or guarantee that any lender will approve you. We compare the lenders on our panel, not every loan in the market.
Before we provide credit assistance, we will give you our credit guide. It sets out our licence details, the fees we may charge you, the commissions lenders may pay us, the lenders we conduct the most business with, and how to complain.
In plain words
We compare your financial situation across our panel and explain the numbers. We can’t promise a yes.
8. No financial or legal advice
Information on this website is general. It does not take your personal objectives, financial situation or needs into account, and it is not financial, legal or tax advice. Consider whether it is right for you before acting on it, and obtain independent advice if you need it.
Credit assistance we provide under our licence is not the same as financial advice. Free, independent guidance on borrowing is available at moneysmart.gov.au.

9. Privacy and data collection
We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles and the credit reporting rules in Part IIIA. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full, including how to access and correct your information. Two things worth stating up front:
- Checking your repayments or your credit score through Noddle uses a soft inquiry. It does not affect your credit score. A hard inquiry only happens when you apply to a lender, with your consent.
- We share your information with panel lenders only to find, compare and arrange finance for you. We do not sell your information.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may complain to us, and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
In plain words
Checking your repayments won’t hurt your credit score. We only share your details with lenders to arrange your loan.

14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website; from reliance on general information published on it; from the products, decisions or conduct of lenders and other third parties; or for indirect or consequential loss.
Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our choice, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, the NCCP Act, or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
In plain words
Our liability for website problems is limited, but your consumer rights always stand, in full.
15. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the website at any time if you breach these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or if we need to protect the security of the website or our customers. You may stop using the website at any time.

In plain words
We can suspend access if the rules are broken. You can walk away any time. An existing loan with a lender isn’t affected.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
In plain words
Queensland and Australian law apply.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Each version is dated at the top of this page, and we will flag material changes on this website. Your continued use of the website after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
In plain words
If we change these terms, we date the new version and put it here.
Noddle is a finance broker, not a lender. We find, compare and arrange loans from our panel. Lenders approve applications and provide the credit.
