Personal loans when your credit is not perfect
A bad-credit personal loan is arranged with a lender who assesses your full circumstances rather than a score alone. Noddle compares options across a panel accessed through the Loan Market Group platform and arranges finance where a lender is willing to approve it, subject to responsible lending checks.
Noddle is a broker, not a lender. We find, compare and arrange; lenders approve and lend.

What counts as bad credit?
Bad credit can mean a low score, a past default, missed repayments or a previous hardship arrangement. Australian credit scores from Equifax sit on a scale to 1200. A lower score narrows your options but does not close them, because some lenders weigh income and stability alongside the score.
How Noddle helps
Rather than apply to a bank that may decline you and mark your file, Noddle reviews your credit with a soft Access Seeker enquiry first, then compares lenders who consider circumstances like yours. You see the rate and the total cost before any formal application is lodged.

Possibly. A past default or a low credit score does not automatically rule you out, because some lenders assess your full circumstances rather than a score alone. Noddle compares options across its panel and arranges finance where a lender is willing to approve it, subject to responsible lending checks under the NCCP Act 2009.
There is no single cut-off, because each lender sets its own policy and weighs income and stability alongside your score. Equifax scores run to 1200. A higher score widens your choices and can lower your rate, but Noddle also compares lenders who assess borrowers with lower scores.
Reviewing your options with Noddle does not affect your credit score. We use an Access Seeker (soft) enquiry to review your credit file, which lenders cannot see and which leaves no mark. Your score is only affected once a lender lodges a formal application, and only with your consent.
Often, yes. A lender pricing for higher risk usually charges a higher rate. Noddle compares options so you see the true cost, including interest and any brokerage fee, and can decide whether the loan is worth it now or whether waiting to rebuild your file serves you better.
Noddle may charge a brokerage fee for arranging your loan, and may also receive a commission from the lender. Both are disclosed upfront in our Credit Guide and your written quote before you commit. The brokerage fee can be paid upfront or capitalised into your loan. If capitalised, you pay interest on it over the loan term. All fees and commissions are disclosed in our Credit quote before you proceed.
